Vowel Y – In 1-Syllable Words – Phonics Worksheets Packet

This 6 page phonics worksheets packet reinforces the short sound for the vowel Y in 1-syllable words. The vowel y makes the long I sound at the end of the word and the short sound of I in the middle of words. The packet focuses on the open, accented vowel rule. Students write sentences, engage in rhyming words, learn about putting words in alphabetic order, read a short story, review phonics rules, and rewrite sentences using proper capitalization and punctuation.

This phonics packet works well with the Saxon Phonics Intervention reading program.

You can buy the packet of 6 pages for $8.00. Please contact me at readingwithphonics@comcast.net for your download. Payment is accepted with PayPal or Venmo.
